Flower Blobs Bloom continues my interest in the artifice of nature. The installation elements support my ideas of looking at and experiencing the landscape with attention to play and the experience of the child. The centerpiece, Bloom, provides a place for gathering. The fiberglass donut serves as a bench/slide while the astro turf petals become playful pillows. The interactive flower boxes provide the opportunity for young audiences to grow their own garden. A softly painted wall of flowers designed by Lorrie Frear accompanies the interactive installation.
