Steel, Astroturf, oil cloth, artificial and real flowers, 18'x5'x5'.
Installation, Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase, NY.
Sited within an alley of trees surrounded by
the modernist architecture of the Purchase campus, "Belvedere"
offers a refuge. The urns turned on their sides spilling flowers
to the ground serve as benches. They afford a view down the alley
to the great lawn. "Belvedere" is both a play on and
with nature.
