Created while an artist in residence at the Stadt Kunstlerhaus in Salzburg, Austria. A borrowed view is a personal quest to observe nature as both an image appropriated from the real and intervened in. The daily routine of the project became a means for learning about a place through the physical acts of walking and observing. My attention was given to the overlooked, that which to the resident of the city would appear mundane almost invisible yet for the outsider the overlooked provides the experience of the new.
